2013 Phillip Island World Superbike Tire Analysis
The 2013 eni FIM World Superbike Championship opened up at Phillip Island with the new 17-inch Pirelli tires that had riders putting significantly better times on the boards compared to last year.
The Aprilia riders proved to be able to adapt best to the new tires right from the start and they also managed to find the best set-up in order to take advantage of the solutions Pirelli brought to the Australian round, as the two race results demonstrate.

The new Pirelli Angel GT tires debut on Basque soil in Bilbao for the unveiling of the latest arrival to the Ducati house, the Multistrada 1200 S Granturismo.
In fact, the new Angel GT sport touring tire in the 190/55 R17 size on the rear and 120/70 R17 on the front will be standard equipment on this brand new version of the appreciated Borgo Panigale model as yet another demonstration of the strong "made in Italy" partnership between the two companies.
Angel GT conveys Pirelli's maximum DNA levels in terms of performance, which stays high for the entire life of the tire, as well as remarkable mileage that is at least 15% more than the Angel ST. The typical Pirelli sports attitude and top notch performance on wet roads goes along with this feature thanks to an in depth study of the compounds and geometry as well as the positioning of the grooves in the tread.

In 2012 the World Superbike Championship, first held in 1988, celebrates its 25th anniversary...
On the occasion of this important anniversary, the Italian company, with headquarters in Milan, has designed an exclusive version of the tyres the riders will use for Superpole on Saturday with six silver coloured stripes on the tread pattern and a celebratory tag on the side with the Italian flag containing a special ‘25 years’ logo

The Pirelli Diablo Super Biker app is now also available for smartphones that run on the Android operating system.
The award-winning app has been available for the iPhone since last August, during which time more than 50,000 riders have downloaded it.
Conceived by Pirelli, Diablo Super Biker allows riders to measure their performance in real time, whether on the track or the street. With the app, now downloadable from Google Play Store for Android, riders can keep track of the distance they’ve traveled on their bikes, the lean angle in turns, and lap times. All they have to do is set the smartphone to street or track mode and start riding. Following the introduction of the new P Zero tires at the end of January for the 2012 Formula 1 season, just a few weeks later the boys from Pirelli return to the Yas Marina circuit in the United Arab Emirates capital.
But there were no cars involved; this time Pirelli was there supporting the press launch for the new Ducati superbike, the 1199 Panigale, which will soon be available on the market with the new Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP (Sport Production) tires as original equipment....more
