Last Ducati to win a MotoGP bids to 172,430 Euros at auction | Ducati.net | Desmopro News | Scoop.it

Casey Stoner’s 2010 MotoGP Ducati that won the Australian GP was bid to 172,430 euros at auction today in Monaco. The last Ducati to win a MotoGP race was being offered directly by Ducati for sale with a pre-auction estimate of 300 – 350,000 euros. No confirmation if reserve was met. It’s highly unusual for “current” factory GP bikes still sporting at least some top secret electronics and technology to be offered for sale, and the two offered in Monaco today came with numerous strings attached. Buyers interested in the two bikes were encouraged to contact the RM auction legal department before hand to review the contract in advance.
