For Sale | 2006 Paul Smart 1000 Limited Edition Sport Classic | Ducaticlassifieds.com | Desmopro News | Scoop.it

For sale is my 2006 Paul Smart 1000 LE. I bought her brand new in the fall of 2007 from Salt Lake Motorsports. She was originally prepped by Matt Spencer, master Ducati mechanic/tuner & three time KTM Paris-Dakar crew chief for Chris Blaise. All subsequent service has been performed by Matt, (then SLMS/ now speedbyspencerdotcom).
Matt set her up with a Power Commander III, Termignoni slip-on, DP ECU and Ohlins spring upgrade – 00698-06/44 L136. The stock Ohlins spring is under-sprung. The upgrade provides a much more compliant and plush ride. I removed the stock mirrors in favor of a left bar mount CRG and installed a dpcars fender kit – dpcarsdotnet ~ (The stock mirrors and stock tail light/ license plate assembly are included. The stock exhaust is no longer available).
She originally resided in Chicago and is currently located with me in Denver, (garaged in both places). 2224 miles are currently on the clock.

1998 Ducati 916 SPS with the 996 CC Motor
The Ducati 916 SPS was an Evolution of the legendary Ducati 916 and had an even punchier engine and a refined chassis. There were major updates to the Sport Production series for 1997 and the 916 SPS, still carrying the "916" title, featured a 996cc engine with new crankcases for World Superbike homologation. However there was more to the SPS than merely new crankcases and larger pistons, as 36mm inlet valves were used , together with new inlet and exhaust camshafts. The 916SPS for 1998 received not only the new graphics, but the lighter frame of the Corsa (thinner tubing and no longer constructed in AL450) and also new Showa forks to accept the revised front brake calipers.

Design of the Ducati 916 was a balance between function and form:

The single-sided swingarm was beautiful, but designed to make wheel changes faster during races

The underseat exhausts improve aerodynamic performance, and resultantly gave very clean lines.

Production Date:October of 1997

Rare Pantah 650 MHR colors in Switzerland | Rare SportBikes For Sale.com

Rare Pantah 650 MHR colors in Switzerland | Rare SportBikes For Sale.com | Desmopro News | Scoop.it

This is a truly rare bike: a 1984 MHR color scheme Ducati Pantah 650. By the way MHR = Mike Hailwood Replica (see chap below):

The Pantah is an important version in Ducati’s history as it represent the ancestor of the commonly know Ducati L2 motors with the cams driven by belt. The upgraded 650 engine (up to 1983 it was 600cc) was needed for the homologation of the TT racer with which it shared the motor’s 61.5 mm stroke.

For Sale | 1979 Ducati SuperSport | eBay

For Sale | 1979 Ducati SuperSport | eBay | Desmopro News | Scoop.it
For sale is my 1979 classic Ducati 900 Super Sport (R).

The bike was build in 1979 straight from the crate by Dutch Ducati specialist Biggelaar in the town of Oirschot.

In total 5 of these bikes were build, 3 for racing and 2 for road use, this is one of those 2.

In 2008 the bike returned to Biggelaar for a complete restoration, its was then displayed at their 40 years celebration as a eyecatcher.

After restoration I have just driven it once for 25 km so it needs to be run in still now.

1982 Ducati Pantah 600SL | Rare SportBikes For Sale

1982 Ducati Pantah 600SL | Rare SportBikes For Sale | Desmopro News | Scoop.it

If you are a collector of classic and iconic sportbikes – or would like to become one – here is something you might want to investigate. The Ducati 600 SL “Pantah” was the first of the next generation of Ducatis, powered by an updated L-twin desmo motor with valve actuation done via toothed rubber belts instead of the traditional bevel drive. The belt driven valvetrain was instrumental to production volume for Ducati, as the older bevel drives required a great deal of time-consuming, skilled adjustment during assembly. Belt driven valves made true mass production a reality....more here:
