Ducati is keeping a close eye on Scott Redding’s MotoGP future, with the British rider’s 2015 plans up in the air.
Redding was expected to be riding a factory Honda RC213V for the Gresini squad next season, having signed a two-year deal with the former 125GP world champion’s Italian-based team.
But Gresini is struggling to finance a deal to lease the RC213V again next season and he has been given a deadline at the British Grand in Silverstone next weekend to confirm his plans to HRC.

Honda and Ducati have admitted being seriously interested in Scott Redding for 2014, with the British rider in talks about a new production RC213V ride or Desmosedici prototype berth next season.
Talks between Redding’s representatives and the Gresini Honda squad were first revealed in today’s (Wednesday) issue of Motor Cycle News and started after the 20-year-old claimed a record-breaking victory in the recent Italian Moto2 round in Mugello.

“They said there could be another [Ducati MotoGP] test although I don't get involved too much in the contracts side of things” – Scott Redding.
Scott Redding insists he won't become distracted by MotoGP speculation and is maintaining his focus on the second half of this year's Moto2 World Championship.
During the summer break, Redding completed a successful two day MotoGP debut with Ducati in Italy and he is hoping for a deal with his Marc VDS team to ride a Desmosedici in MotoGP next year.
“When I'm away racing I just want to focus on this year and so I don't worry about what might happen next year. I'm aware of the gossip that goes on but don't pay much attention to it until something actually happen,” said Redding, who is fifth in the Moto2 standings with three podiums this year heading into this weekend's Indianapolis round.

Moto2 rider Scott Redding believes the MotoGP bikes "suit him more" after testing the Ducati in Mugello on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old Britain was testing the latest versions of the Desmosedici GP12 development bike.
"It was hard but fun and definitely more than I expected," the Marc VDS Racing rider told BBC Sport.
"Some things were easier, like the cornering, the hardest thing was trying to get around the traction control."
He added: "The main problem was the speed at the end of the straight, I wasn't expecting it to be so fast."
As one of the tallest and heaviest riders in the Moto2 class, Redding has a big disadvantage over his rivals and a move to MotoGP seems the logical step.
