MotoGP Calendar 2014 Laguna Seca goodbye | Ductalk: What's Up In The World Of Ducati | Scoop.it

The draft calendar for 2014 has not yet been shown, but early indications already running in the paddock at Aragon.
The first is that Laguna Seca is now out of the game, MotoGP next year will stop in Indy and Austin but not in California. The route of the Corkscrew had already signed a contract for next year, but things have changed in recent months. It seems that it was the money the problem, the CEO of the circuit Gill Campbell met during the Silverstone GP Carmelo Ezpeleta. Dorna would ask a million and a half dollars more, a request that would not be accepted.

Dorna has really made a huge mistake with this decision. How could they do this to the huge motorcycle market that is in California? If they expect the spectators to flock to SBK after their off then on again marketing decisions they are crazy. We have always found a way to make the trek to Laguna to see the races from Palm Springs. No more. There is no way I'm riding a motorcycle from California to Texas or even Indy. Sorry Dorna....kiss that money and market goodbye.
