Novegro Swap Meet 2014, Milan Italy - Vicki's View

From photos.ducati.net

Novegro is one of the largest Italian motorcycle swap meets held every year AND it's the same week as the Milan motorcycle show. I hadn't been in a couple of years so I headed over with some friends to check it out. Biggest difference? The Ducati stuff we never used to see was here in droves. That's a good thing. I have included a ton of photos this gallery because, well, it's acres and acres and you almost never see the same thing twice. So go get a beverage and join me for a walk around one of the coolest places a motorcycle lover could ever want to visit.

First Ride: The Ducati Scrambler Is An Amazingly Fun Bike For All Riders

From lanesplitter.jalopnik.com

At some point the motorcycle industry forgot that bikes are supposed to be fun. They don't have to be overpowered enablers of natural selection or obscenely styled, over-priced midlife crisis machines or vapidly retro fashion trinkets. They just need to be fun. And the new Ducati Scrambler is exactly that.

Art or Murder?

From www.ducati.net

Did this Ducati have to die?

I’d be the first person to say that Ducati motorcycles in general are art. Of course, as we have all heard, “Art is in the eye of the beholder” but this year at Art Basel, Miami, one of the worlds largest gathering of art lovers that takes place yearly, I came across two Ducati art projects within blocks of each other. They could not have been more different.

Good God The Ducati Scrambler Sounds Amazing

From lanesplitter.jalopnik.com

There was never any doubt the Ducati Scrambler was going to sound good. It's using a variant of the same V-twin as the old Monster 796, which always delivered an unmistakable Italian aria once it was uncorked. But nothing prepared us for the aural delights of the new Duc with its first aftermarket can. Oh yes, the Scrambler lust is strong.

I know I featured a couple of these just a few days ago, but this Elite is an absolute gem. The Ducati 200 Elite was the Italian firm’s largest-displacement bike when it was introduced – a whopping 204cc when they bored out the popular 175cc engine.

Bill Whisenant and North America’s Fastest Ducati

From ultimatemotorcycling.com

Whisenant and his team took his Ducati 999-based partially streamlined LSR bike to Bonneville and established it as the fastest Ducati in America.
Michael Mazo's curator insight, December 13, 2:40 PM

As a guy I always had a strong taste for motorcycles, although I have never rode once as advanced as this brand new Ducati I can give it the admiration it deserves. Congratulations to Bill Whisenant for building North America's fastest ducati, Typically Ducati has always been viewed as the staple of high quality motorcycles, in fact if i were to ever own a motorcycle my first choice would be a Ducati. Considering the speed and capabilities of the Ducati 999 its easy to tell one would have to be extremely skilled to drive one of these hellcats. From speed to performance to skillful engineering, just taking a look at this one would give it the appreciation it deserves.
