When Tony Stark isn't suited up in metal saving the world, the self-described genius billionaire playboy philanthropist zips around town in the all-electric Audi e-tron. At least he does on screen, in "Iron Man 3," in an early kickoff to a summer blockbuster season that will see hundreds of speeding, squealing, exploding, airborne, rolling and smoking vehicles in dozens of high-adrenaline films. Chloe Moretz's Hit-Girl won't just don a purple cape in "Kick-Ass 2," she'll do so on a color-matched Ducati Panigale. When Hugh Jackman's Wolverine travels to Japan for some superhero soul searching, he's whisked through the streets of Tokyo in an Audi A8 Spyder. Then there's Roman, played by Tyrese Gibson, who jumps from a Ford Mustang moments before it's crushed by the tracks of a tank in the sixth installment of the supercharged franchise "Fast & Furious."

Chris Pine is in the process of rebooting his second high-profile character for Paramount Pictures, and 2013 is most likely the year he becomes a household name. We’ll see him reprise the role of Captain Kirk in J.J. Abrams’ ‘Star Trek 2‘ in May, while next winter brings us Pine take on Jack Ryan in, well, ‘ Jack Ryan.’ If you were wondering what the latter character will look like, today’s your lucky day, as the first image of Pine-as-Ryan has been revealed. As you can see from said image (via ComingSoon.net), production has officially begun on ‘Jack Ryan,’ which will tell the origin story of the fictional CIA operative. Not a whole lot to take away from this picture, other than shooting is taking place in Manhattan (South Street Seaport, it appears) and Jack has expensive taste in motorcycles – that’s a Ducati, baby.... WRITTEN BY JAMIE DWELLY FOR GRAND PRIX CAFE The cast of Roger Corman's 1966 biker exploitation film 'The Wild Angels' includes Peter Fonda, Nancy Sinatra and 'members of Hell's Angels of Venice, California.' Image courtesy LiveAuctioneers.com and Waddington's Auctioneers. The thing about Valentino Rossi is that we need him to be doing well, even if you’re not a fan because he’s one of the greatest motorcycle racers of all the time and, therefore, Moto GP’s biggest star. To hear that things aren’t going well with testing, especially after announcing last month that the new GP12 Ducati was podium-focused, is a bit of a blow. You can only have so much fun watching a pair of Honda’s disappear in the ether, leaving the rest of the field to squabble for loose-change GP points. Rossi’s disappointment also highlights the gaping hole left by the death last season of Marco Simoncelli. You could always rely on no. 58 for a bit of spice. In an alternate reality the movie ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ would be opening in theaters in 4 days, but since Paramount has decided to move the premiere to add 3D elements (okay they actually decided to add more Channing Tatum), we’ll have to wait until next year.
But until then, we can still get some cool behind the scenes images of what will be in the movie.

The superhero extravaganza "The Avengers"marks the first of many movies that will feature motorcycles racing onto the big screen this summer. Not only will Captain America helm a Harley-Davidsonin the big-budget Marvel movie, but one of the leads of "Men in Black" will time-travel to 1969 on board an "Easy Rider"-esque chopper. A circus bear will even throw a furry leg over a Ducati in the animated feature "Madagascar 3."
Motorcycles have long played a part in the movies, but as summer films become more explosive and adventure oriented, two wheels are playing a larger role....more on the headline link above

It's another cracker from the British Superbike paddock...
t is difficult to tell, sometimes, when racers actually mean what they say. They're very used to PR and saying what their sponsors, series organisers, their management want to hear rather than what is going through their own head. Imagine, then, the surprise when Shane Byrne pops on to the big screen in the first running of I, Superbiker - The Showdown to tell the world how shit he thinks The Showdown is. And then, later on, does it again.
Byrne is to be applauded for saying what he felt about the points system he feels robbed him of his third championship, while British Superbike series boss Stuart Higgs is worthy of equal applause for letting those comments through the edit of Mark Sloper's second investigation into the world of BSB...More
