Are You the Ducati Desmosedici GP13?

Are You the Ducati Desmosedici GP13? | Ductalk | Scoop.it

UPDATE: Nope, according to Italian TV’s Gudio Meda, it is a model built from leftover parts of the GP3 & GP7. For those picking out those design elements, good eye!

While the official launch of the Ducati Desmosedici GP13 is supposed to be tomorrow, the folks atGPinside have seemingly snagged this photo of the GP13 at the 2013 Wrooom event that Ducati co-hosts with Scuderia Ferrari. While the livery appears relative unchanged, there are several noticeable changes to the Desmosedici GP13, namely the skinnier tail section.

Our eyes also spot changes to the exhaust system, with a much shorter side-pipe, and what appears to be a larger undertail cannister. The fairings have also been refined from their previous shape, and give away a figure that’s longer than the GP12 (shown after the jump), with noticeably fewer side vents...

Vicki Smith for Ducati.net's insight:

Whatever it is, it's closer to the 1199 Panigale they showed last year.  Wrooom roll outs are a tough tradition to uphold, when the bike and team are in steep transition with a test looming....

Lorenzo would welcome Rossi return | visordown.com

Lorenzo would welcome Rossi return | visordown.com | Ductalk | Scoop.it

Lorenzo: "I hear some rumours. And some rumours say that Valentino is going to come back."

JORGE Lorenzo would welcome Valentino Rossi back at Yamaha, believing that it could be good for the factory team.

Following the surprise announcement that Ben Spies would leave the factory Yamaha team at the end of the season, internet speculation was overrun with discussions of whether Rossi could take his seat.

On Spies' decision, the Spaniard said: "It’s sad news to hear that Ben is not continuing. For Yamaha it’s really sad, because he has been a Yamaha rider for a long time. I think he has great potential, and I wish him good luck in the future. Now we have to see what is going to happen with the second rider in Yamaha."

Rossi is not fading yet, insists Lorenzo | Yahoo! Eurosport

Valentino Rossi has not passed his peak and is still capable of returning to the forefront of MotoGP, insists his former team-mate Jorge Lorenzo.
After leaving Yamaha for Ducati in 2011, Rossi endured his first ever win-less season at world championship level.
But Lorenzo, who was Rossi's Yamaha team-mate from 2008-10, dismissed any suggestion that the Italian seven-time MotoGP champion's career was in decline.
"There's no age limit," Lorenzo told Gazzetta dello Sport. "[Carlos] Checa at 39 in superbikes is in his top form. Valentino is 33, he hasn't weakened."
Lorenzo suggested that Rossi's problem was not that his talent was fading, but that MotoGP was now so competitive it was harder to pull off good results on a difficult bike than it had been in the past....more
