The off-season has not been kind to Ducati MotoGP rider NICKY HAYDEN. Since the final race of the 2011 MotoGP season at Valencia, Spain, American Hayden has been struck down by injuries suffered in the race compounded by another setback during pre-season.

About to be his third year as a factory Ducati rider, Nicky Hayden is one of the hardest working men in MotoGP, and is long-overdue for some good luck. But, 2012 is already off to a tough start as Nick was unable to make much out of the Sepang test due to an injured left scapula, and accordingly underwent surgery today to repair cartilage and muscle damage in his left shoulder. Will he be fit to ride the next test at the end of February? Or will he wait until the last pre-season test at Jerez a month later? Only time will tell. Here’s to a speedy and full recovery for the Kentucky Kid....more

Ducati's Nicky Hayden, nursing a shoulder injury throughout this week's Sepang MotoGP test, could get the chance to make up for lost time on the new Desmosedici GP12.
The American, who missed last November's Valencia post-race test due to an injury in the race, then broke his left shoulder blade and fractured two ribs while training at an indoor flat track on December 27.
The 2006 world champion, renowned for his high work rate in testing, has only been able to put in a part-time effort at Sepang this week, where he was ranked tenth fastest over all three days (with three hours of day three to go)....more

We have attended this school and find it to be quite unlike a standard racing school. Especially if you live somewhere besides Italy the experience of the school coupled with the culture, food and iconic tracks and instructors make this a really great "learning vacation"
