Series Premieres Jan. 28 on Velocity - Ducati bike build episode from Moto Corse Performance: Airs 2/11 @ 10:00pm
When money and ego come together you wind up with a
Ducati that weighs less than a dirt bike and in a challenge that, realistically, you have no chance of winning. Moto
Corse’s Chris Boy is a whiz at building Italian sport bikes and his challenge is to turn a used $3000 Ducati into a
six-figure track bike worthy of helping him beat Ben Bostrom on a track.

Did this Ducati have to die?
I’d be the first person to say that Ducati motorcycles in general are art. Of course, as we have all heard, “Art is in the eye of the beholder” but this year at Art Basel, Miami, one of the worlds largest gathering of art lovers that takes place yearly, I came across two Ducati art projects within blocks of each other. They could not have been more different.

What do YOU think???
We usually draw upon inspiration from specific styles, but with the Typhoon we have built what we felt we needed to build based around the specific donor, in this case a Ducati 900ss. It is what we feel is the perfect showcase of the very best aesthetics from the original motorcycle, mixed with carefully …
With the new-wave custom scene continually evolving and diversifying, it’s becoming progressively more difficult to classify custom motorcycles. Even the mere mention of the term “café racer” is enough to send purists into a frenzy these days. It gets even more complicated when the donors are ’90s-model Ducatis—an emerging trend that we’re loving.
Who better to blur the lines than Clay Rathburn of Atom Bomb Custom Motorcycles? Clay’s a master craftsman whose work we’ve featured multiple times, and who seems to be able to turn his hand to any style of bike. His latest creation is this breathtaking Ducati 900SS-based café-racer-cum-streetfighter.

For sale is my 1979 classic Ducati 900 Super Sport (R).
The bike was build in 1979 straight from the crate by Dutch Ducati specialist Biggelaar in the town of Oirschot.
In total 5 of these bikes were build, 3 for racing and 2 for road use, this is one of those 2.
In 2008 the bike returned to Biggelaar for a complete restoration, its was then displayed at their 40 years celebration as a eyecatcher.
After restoration I have just driven it once for 25 km so it needs to be run in still now.
Barracuda becomes official sponsor of Effenbert-Liberty Racing...
he Effenbert-Liberty Racing Team, present in World Superbike with Jakub Smrz, Sylvain Guintoli and Maxime Berger, has signed a deal with special components firm Barracuda. The Italian company, managed by Alessandro Giardina, now becomes an official sponsor of the team for the entire 2012 season....more
Now that the 2012 model year motorcycles have debuted (though we still expect a few mid-year releases), the speculation can now begin for the 2013 model year machines. Wasting no time in this process, the Italian press is afire with rumors of a Ducati 799 superbike model to compliment the recently released Ducati 1199 Panigale.
A rumor of this nature, this early in the year, is certainly an interesting one. There should be little debate over the fact that Borgo Panigale has a supersport variant of the 1199 superbike already figured out, tested, & ready for prime time, and our Bothan spies confirm just as much to us. The details of such a bike though, now that’s where the devil resides.
According to the rumors out of the Italian press, the Ducati 799 will have a 750cc displacement, make 145hp, and tip the scales under 160kg (353 lbs). The move to the 750cc displacement apparently comes as a bid to race the mini-Panigale once again in the World Supersport Championship, and of course the 749 designation has already been used....more
