We are posting this because it has an effect on Ducati.net's Ducstock event. How much of an effect we will know soon and share with the group. Regardless, we are happy to see Barber getting this level of manufacturer support committment, this is essentially a 6 event deal.....
Motorcycle racing at Barber Motorsports Park has been through tough times since Honda left as title sponsor of the annual AMA Pro Series weekend.
But the future of Superbike racing at Barber gets a huge boost with an announcement today that Triumph Motorcycles has signed on for three years as title sponsor for the AMA racing weekend and presenting sponsor for the fall Barber Vintage Festival.
"We're excited to have them as such a devoted sponsor for two of our major events at Barber Motorsports Park," said Gene Hallman, president of track promoter ZOOM Motorsports, "and we look forward to a great partnership for many years to come."
The Triumph Superbike Classic will include competition in four divisions -- the AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike, AMA Pro Daytona SportBike, AMA Pro Motorcycle-Superstore.com SuperSport and AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 series....more
