RICHARD is running out of superlatives after being blown away by the amazing speed of Ducati’s latest superbike, the ­Panigale R.

“AWESOME”. That was how a lad of around 17 described Ducati’s ­Panigale R soon after I parked up on the seafront.

It’s a superlative that has crept across the Atlantic and become increasingly over-used here – especially by teenage boys – but in this case it’s entirely apt.

This is a machine that inspires awe....
