Sergio Robbiano, the heir of Tamburini, dies in a road accident | Ductalk: What's Up In The World Of Ducati | Scoop.it

Italian motorcycling mourns one of its most appreciated and famous designers, Sergio Robbiano, 48, who lost his life in a fatal collision between a motorcycle and a truck in the municipality of Torriglia in Trebbia.

HEIR - Sergio Robbiano, born in Palermo, but long resident in Genoa, was one of the favorite students of Massimo Tamburini, one of the greatest Italian architects of motion, who passed away recently after a long illness. Robbiano had worked at the CRC, the research center Castiglioni, where they designed the Ducati 916. During that time he had followed the whole project Cagiva Mito Ev 125 and edited the lines of Husqvarna models, as well. He then worked at the Bimota (where he signed the 500 V2 and the DB5) and the manufacturer of AGV helmets.
